POL: Pakistan President Zardari, British Premier Brown have important talks Tuesday
London, Sept 15 PPI: Visiting Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will on Tuesday have ``important'' talks here with aim to diffuse current situation in Pakistan's tribal areas exacerbated by ``unprovoked United States missiles firing.''
It will be Brown's first meeting with President Zardari now on private visit to UK,
during which they will also discuss prevailing situation along Pak-Afghan border and
in Federally Administered Tribal Areas FATA.
The talks between two leaders are being held in backdrop of UK support of U.S. plans
to commission new and more comprehensive military strategy covering both sides of
Pak-Afghan border. Brown last week spoke about new strategy to meeting growing
Taliban threat.
