THAI Airways opt for Amadeus Altea

BANGKOK, July 21 (TNA) - Thai Airways International or THAI will revamp its operations with the Amadeus Altea system, in order to catch up with 110 other leading airlines and reduce costs by at least 10 percent.
THAI President Piyasvasti Amranand on Thursday signed an agreement with Amadeus Asia Pacific President David Brett for the new system to be implemented by late 2013.
The newer platform would streamline ticket reservations, and provide better management of in-flight and ground services for passengers, while lowering costs of investing in information technology.
Seventeen out of 27 member airlines of the Star Alliance currently rely on Amadeus Altea. (TNA)
