SKY Airlines becomes Turkey's first "green airlines"

ISTANBUL (A.A) - July 20, 2011 - SKY Airlines has become Turkey's "first green airlines" after receiving the "green airlines" certificate.
In a written statement released Wednesday, SKY Airlines has said that the company fulfilled all the criteria as set forth by the Turkish Ministry of Transportation's Green Airlines Project and had received the license making SKY Airlines the "first green airlines of Turkey".
The project aims at minimizing the harm airline companies pose to the environment and humans, the statement said.
SKY Airlines received the "green airlines" certificate after minimizing waste and sound pollution, the statement also said.
