SPEAKER MEETS REPS OF INT'L UNION OF NOTARIES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker D.Demberel met Tuesday a delegation led by Mr. Jean-Paul Decorps, the president of the International Union of Notaries (IUN). The IUN's delegation is visiting Mongolia in conjunction with a request of Mongolia to join the IUN.
The Speaker has said he was satisfied with a visit of the IUN's president to Mongolia, and underlined an importance of a step to launch cooperation between the Mongolia's Notaries Union (MNU) and the IUN. D.Demberel has noted that the MNU has faced the two political systems from the centralized and planned economy system to the free market system, but it keeps its basic concepts until today.
During the meeting, the president of the International Notarial Corporation Commission has granted to the Speaker a brochure on the IUN. The IUN representatives have said that they conducted a survey on a legal environment for carrying out notarial activities in Mongolia in frames of the visit, and concluded that the law on notary of Mongolia is well drawn up.
