Iran, Eritrea ink MoU

Tehran, Sept 15, IRNA - Iran and Eritrea on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on supporting and encouraging the foreign investment.

The agreement was inked by Iran's Minister of Finance Shamseddin
Hosseini and his Eritrean counterpart Berhane Abrehe.

Hosseini said that Iran has no limitation to promote cultural,
political and economic cooperation with Eritrea.

He added that there are plenty of opportunities for the two sides to
further cooperation.

Not only Eritrea can gain Iranian experience on agriculture and mines industry, it can also use Iran's engineering and technical services, Hosseini said.

IRNA Economic News Service said that the Export Development Bank of
Iran has arranged credit line to help boost Tehran-Asmara economic
cooperation.

Eritrean finance minister, for his part, made commitment to follow up
the implementation of the agreements already inked and the newly
signed ones as well.

Referring to the mutual talks on exporting wheat to Eritrea from Iran, Abrehe called on Iranian side providing facilities for the purpose.

He also appreciated the provision of financial resources for the projects.
