Thai students grab four medals from IChO 2011
BANGKOK, July 18 (TNA) - Thai students have, again, brought fame to their motherland by grabbing two golds and two silvers at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2011), held in Ankara, Turkey's capital, from July 9-18.
Pornpan Witayangura, Director of the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST), announced the good news Monday, saying that the four students, two from Suankularb Wittayalai School School in Bangkok and the other two from Mahidol Witthayanusorn School in the central Nakhon Pathom Province, have each bagged the winning medals back home.
The IPST chief revealed that international students from 70 countries across the world have participated in the 10-day IChO 2011, and that the four winning Thai youths are scheduled to return to Bangkok on Tuesday. (TNA)
