3rd consultative meeting between government and donors held over Saada rebuilding

SANA'A, Sep. 14 (Saba)- The third consultative meeting between the government and partners of development was held on Sunday headed by deputy premier for economic affairs and minister of planning and international cooperation Abdul-Kareem al-Arhabi.

The meeting focused on the latest development associated with collecting funds to rebuild Saada and relief efforts.

In the meeting al-Arhabi expressed appreciation of the Yemeni government for
concerns of the partners of the development in supporting efforts of the government
to tackle material and humanitarian impacts due to five years of conflict in Saada.

He affirmed importance of offering relief material urgently for displaces people and
support of the Yemen government to rebuild affected arenas in the governorate.

Al-Arhabi said that the pace in reconstructing affected regions would help in
enhancing stability and security in all districts of the governorate, pointing out
to the hope of Yemen to receive contributions from partners and international and
regional organizations o rebuild the governorate.He insisted on importance of the
coordination between the regional and international non-government organization and
UN organization in field of offering humanitarian assistance to the displaced
people.For his part, the minister of interior Muthar al-Masri called on all
organizations to visit any district of the governorate, saying that the security
situation is suitable.

Any international and regional organization could visit any district in eth
governorate, al-Masri said.

In a meeting, presentations were presented by international organizations over their
visits to the districts of Saada and their assistance to the displaced people.

UNDP resident representative to Yemen pointed out to extend range of assessment to
cover all affected districts.

For its part, the Saada Rebuilding Fund presented a report on process of assessing
damages in which the fund said that assessment has covered 4972 houses, 1072 farms,
21 different projects, 62 schools, 3 health facilities, two police station, 3
government headquarters and two complexes, one agricultural guidance center and 147
mosques.

The report stated that the process of rebuilding would be started by beginning of
October.
