N. Korea to hand over body of South Korean civilian
SEOUL, July 15 (Yonhap) -- North Korea has agreed to repatriate the body of a South Korean civilian found dead in North Korean waters, Seoul's Red Cross said Friday.
The body of the 43-year-old man, who lived in Seoul and was identified only by his family name Ko, had apparently drifted into waters off the North's southwestern coast in Hwanghae Province for unknown reasons, the Red Cross said.
The North agreed to hand over the body to South Korea at the truce village of Panmunjom at 11:00 a.m., the Red Cross said.
The two Koreas have repatriated the bodies of each other's citizens found dead in their respective waters in the past.
