Viet Nam attends L'Humanite newspaper festival

Paris (VNA) - Vietnam 's Nhan Dan (The People) newspaper opened a booth on Vietnam in the " World Village " area of the French Communist Party's L'Humanite newspaper festival that last from Sept. 12-14.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Le Kinh Tai said the festival has become a venue for social activists, politicians and everyone who wished for a better society, a world of peace, solidarity and development, adding that was the reason why Vietnam attends the event every year.

The Vietnamese diplomat affirmed that Viet Nam always places importance to the multifaceted cooperation with France , considering it a prime partner in Europe , and expressed his belief that the relationship between
the two countries will be increasingly developed.

The festival was held for the first time in 1930, and now becomes an
annual event at the La Courneuve Park in the suburb of Paris .

This year's event included exhibitions and seminars on social issues, the
world's security, nations' solidarity with the participation of French
politicians and scholars.

Hundreds of thousands of visitors were also attracted to the festival's
music and entertainment programmes.-Enditem
