Al -Barakani: parliamentary elections to be held on time
SANA'A, Sep. 13 (Saba)- Assistant Secretary General for Political and External Relations at the General People's Congress (GPC) Sultan al-Barakani affirmed upcoming parliamentary elections would be held on time.
In a press conference, al-Barakani accused the joint meeting parties of working to
fail democratic experiment of the nation by trying postponement of holing the
elections.
He also said the GPC call on the SCER to deal positively with recommendations of
the European team and affirmed the GPC interest in cooperation with all including
the international partners to develop the electoral system.
Al-Barakani expressed hope that the JMP would take part in the elections.
