Yemen, UK review security cooperation
SANA'A, Sep 13 (Saba) - Minister of Interior Mutahar Rashad al-Masri met on Saturday with the British ambassador to Yemen Tim Torlo.
They discussed aspects of security cooperation between Yemen and the United Kingdom particularly in the coastguards area.
The two brought up the issue of coordination to complete preparations for organizing
a regional workshop on maritime security which would be held in November in Yemen
with the participation of regional countries and the sponsorship of donor states.
Torlo praised Yemen's efforts to provide sea safety in the regional waters and
improvements in modernizing and training the country coastguards.
He said Britain will continue to support Yemen in this regard.
Al-Masri appreciated British support for Yemen and distinguished security
cooperation between Yemen and the UK.
