Thai Cabinet line-up to be completed in the next few weeks

BANGKOK, July 10 (TNA) - The cabinet line-up of Thai Prime Minister designate Yingluck Shinawatra was expected to be completed in the few weeks after the Election Commission (EC) announced the official results of the July 3 election.

The would-be prime minister Yingluck told reporters after went shopping at the Marketing Organization for Farmers Market in Bangkok Sunday morning that over the past seven days, her Pheu Thai Party’s policy working group had worked out the detailed policies that would be delivered to the parliament. She said senior officials of several ministries were invited to hear and comment on the policies of her government.

Yingluck reaffirmed that her cabinet line-up should be completed within the next few weeks after the EC announced the official results of the election on July 12 and that the new cabinet would start implementing the policies straight away. She hinted that capable outsiders might be named in her ministerial posts.

The would-be prime minister also denied any involvement of her elder brother Thaksin Shinawatra in the allocation of cabinet seats. Nevertheless, she admitted that some MPs went to meet Thaksin in Dubai. (TNA)
