Talabani: forming a committee to solve problems between SLC, IS
Baghdad (NINA) – President Jalal Talabani announced forming a committee comprising all political blocs to solve problems between State of Law Coalition and Iraqiya Slate.
In a press conference held by the end of the political blocs’ leaders today, Talabani said “the blocs agreed on deciding their stance towards the stay or departure of the US troops, providing that the final decision is to be given in two weeks from now.”
He described the atmosphere of the meeting as positive and honest and that good understandings prevailed it.
He pointed out that the talks tackled activating the Erbil agreement in addition to the American troops presence in Iraq.
The meeting started this afternoon, among the most distinctive participants were ; Parliament Speaker Osama Al Nujeifi, Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki, Head of the IS Dr. Iyad Allawi, head of the National Alliance Ibrahim Al Jaafari, and head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council Amar Al Hakeem. /End/
