Hakeem, British Ambassador discuss developments in Iraq, region
Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC), Ammar al-Hakeem discussed with the new British Ambassador to Iraq, Michel Aaron, the political situation in Iraq and the region.
A statement issued on Thursday, July 7, by the SIIC said, “Hakeem met with Aaron discussing the relations between Iraq and Britain and means to develop them, in addition to the political situation in Iraq and the region.”
It added, “Hakeem wished for the new Ambassador success in his task, especially with his rich experience on the region.
For his part, Ambassador Aaron praised Hakeem’s endeavors to bring points of views between various Iraqi forces close together to get the country out of its current crisis.
