MP: the government ignored Iraqis’ feelings by not asking Iran stop intervening in Iraq’s affairs
Baghdad (NINA) – MP from the Iraqiya Slate, Mohammed Salman, said the Iraqi government ignored Iraqis’ feelings by not asking Iran to stop intervening in Iraq’s internal affairs and aggressing its lands.
He told NINA today “the government should be more clear by telling the Iranian official visiting Baghdad now of its commitments towards Iraq, because the Iranians have more commitments than rights in Iraq.”
He explained “the reception which the Iranian delegation had and the many agreements it signed was clear evidence that the only beneficiary from the visit were the Iranians on the expense of Iraqis’ interests.”
Salman confirmed that the “diplomatic norms assert that in case of suspended issues between two countries; similar visits are postponed until the suspended issues are solved.” /End/
