CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The cabinet has backed in principle a draft law on granting monetary incentive of MNT 300.000 to mothers who gave birth to three children, MNT 1 million to mothers with the 1st class "Glorious Mother" Order, and MNT 500.000--to mothers with the 2nd class "Glorious Mother" Order.
Some specific proposals will be conveyed to the draft initiators S.Byambatsogt, D.Dondog, D.Oyunkhorol, Ch.Saikhanbileg, A.Tleikhan and Ts.Tsengel MPs.
Then, the cabinet has discussed a draft new wording of the law on oil, a draft general law on tax, and draft amendments to the laws on master budget, on income tax of enterprisers, on special licenses for enterprisers' activities, on land, and on state reserves. The cabinet has considered as necessity to submit them to parliament with proposals of the initiators.
- Draft basic guidelines for state policy on oil sector and activities until 2015 have been discussed. Tney will be submitted to the State Great Khural with reflecting proposals of the initiators.
- The Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry has been ordered to intensify implementation of the “Food safety” program, to urgently prepare ploughed lands in technological period and to ensure the preparation for harvesting. Obligations have been given to related Ministers to provide land farming entities with fuels in times of harvesting and of preparation for ploughing lands, and to create fuel reservation if necessary.
- The 100th birth anniversaries of D.Namdag, a twice State Prize Holder, State Honored Figure of Arts and writer, and of D.Perlee, a State Prize Holder and academician, will be celebrated this year in accordance with a cabinet decision. Capital for the events will be allotted from the State Fund for Development of Culture and Arts. The cabinet also has considered as necessity to erect a statue of Chin Van titled M.Khanddorj.
- Belongings of High Saint Zanabazar have been registered in the list of history and culture values stored in the Bogd Khaan's Palace Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum, the Erdenezuu Museum, the Baruunchoinkhor monastery in Dundgobi, and the Gandantegchilen monastery.
- Money will be allotted from the reserved fund of government for supporting the Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships to run July 25-29 in Ulaanbaatar.
- The cabinet has backed matters on establishing diplomatic relations with the Principality of Andorra, the Republic of the Gambia, the Republic of Honduras, the Republic of Nauru, the Republic of Palau, the Republic of Panama, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Solomon Islands and Tuvalu. The issues will be consulted at related Standing committee of parliament.
