Kim Jong Il Provides Field Guidance to Machine Complex
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, provided field guidance to the Rakwon Machine Complex.
Going round the large machine building shop, the sheet metal processing shop and other production places of the complex, he acquainted himself with the production of machines including 5-cubic meter "Jangbaek" excavator, one-cubic meter hydraulic excavator and CNC-based plasma cutter at the complex.
He underscored the need to boost the production of high performance machines for different fields of national economy.
Watching a high-performance CNC plasma cutter newly manufactured by the complex, he was very pleased that the workers and technicians of the complex successfully manufactured the machine by pooling creative wisdom with teachers and researchers of Kim Chaek University of Technology.
