QOC Futsal Championship Begins Monday
Doha, July 04 (QNA) - The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Futsal Championship 2011 will begin at Al Wakrah hall today.
The prestigious event is organized by the Sport For All Committee of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) until July 16, 2011.
Six matches will be held on the opening day, as ABK will take on Al-Shammal Medical Centre while Islamic Bank will clash against Sky of Future.
Moreover, Intercontinental will face Al-Qasimi Stars and Al Jalwa will shake hands with Running Point.
As per the draw, teams were divided in four groups. Group A: ABK, Al-Shammal Medical Centre, Islamic Bank and Sky of future. Group B: Intercontinental, Al-Qasimi Stars, Jalwah and Running Point. Group C: Qatar Stars league, G4s, Joint Group and Doha Cables. Group D: Doha Modern team, Kafoud Company, Qatar Olympic Committee and Abubaker Al-Sidiq School.
The championship aims to raise the awareness of local community about the importance of sports.
