SPORTS NEWS: KH.TSAGAANBAATAR WINS WORLD CUP


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A State Honored Sportsman and World number one Kh.Tsagaanbaatar won a gold medal at the World Cup competitions held last Friday in Florida state, USA. He has grabbed the medal in the men's 73 kg category.
Another Mongolian international master of sports G.Boldbaatar has won a bronze medal in the men's 60 kg contest, and D.Sumya (women's 57 kg) has taken fifth place.

The International Judo Federation (IJF) has highly spoken the Judo World Cup competitions of Ulaanbaatar, and then allowed Mongolia's Judo Federation (MJF) to organize the “A” class international competitions named after Chingis Khaan. It will give points to judoists for the Olympic qualification.
MJF has announced that the competitions will run September 10-11 in Ulaanbaatar.

Mongolian boxers grabbed one gold, two silver and four bronze medals at international competitions held from June 27 to July 2 in Ulan-Ude, Russia.
Dedicated to V.I. Barannikov, a European champion and Olympic silver medalist, the events have attracted 124 boxers from Mongolia, Belarus and Russia. Coached by E.Sainbileg and D.Batsuren, an international master of sports B.Tuvshinbat (64 kg) has won a gold medal, B.Javkhlan (60 kg) and D.Otgondalai (57 kg)--silver medals, and Gan-Erdene (49 kg), Odkhuu (52 kg), Shinebayar (75 kg) and Monkhbaatar (81 kg)--bronze medals.
