Iraq officially takes over DFI

Baghdad (NINA) – Auditory Board announced officially taking over Development Fund for Iraq, ending eight years of international supervision of the fund.

In a statement issued today, the Board said “a committee of Iraqi finance experts took over the dossier during the recent meeting of the International Advisory and Monitoring Board on DFI in Amman, Jordan, on June 30, 2011.

The statement added that “the meeting was held upon an invitation from the Iraqi side, the Iraqi experts, after this date, will supervise and monitor the alternative account for DFI which contains all oil and oil products revenues.” /End/
