QCCI Signs MOU with Qatar Tourism Authority and Q.media
Doha, July 02 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry (QCCI) signed today a Memorandum of Understanding with the Qatar Tourism Authority and Q. media events in preparation for the 8th world Chambers Congress.
In signing the MOU, Qatar Tourism Authority and Q.media events have agreed to provide their respective expertise in international event management to assist QCCI) in organizing the World Chambers Congress that will be held in Doha from 23 to 25 April 2013.
HE the Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OCCI) Sheikh khalifa Bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani, , commented, "QCCI is committed to support Qatar s burgeoning business community. In organizing the 8th World Chambers Congress, we are particularly keen to utilize the seasoned expertise that local partners, such as QTA and q.media events, have to offer."
"We will also be supported by the expertise of our international consultants; KPMG one of the largest international company which p90vides auditing, tax and advisory service. Patton and Boggs an international law firm that serves as a legal advisor to business throughout the region and worldwide developing international trade and investment agreements in addition to dispute resolution and other legislative issues. Brown Lolyd James a Public Relations firm that offers strategic advice, public diplomacy government relations, reputation management and media relations Sheikh Khalifa added.
The World Chambers Congress is organized by the ICC World Chambers Federation. Held every two years in different regions of the world, the World Chambers Congress it the only international forum for chamber executives worldwide and business leaders to share best-practice experience, develop networks and learn about news areas of innovation from other chambers, as they face the challenge of remaining relevant to companies in their region.

"Q.media events were selected as result of a tendering process with a tough competition between local expertises", said Remy Rowhani the Director General of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry who will be heading the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) that will manage the day to day operations of the congress. The LOC will include representatives from Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Qatar Tourism Authority and q.media events.
In addition to the MOU Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani reveled the logo behind the brand of the 8th World Chambers Congress. The logo draws its inspiration from the Dhow boat, an icon of trade and the national color of Qatar. It symbolizes the beginning of Qatar s economic development and trade yet provides a reference to the World Chambers Congress remit to boost trade. Altogether the logo is bold and distinctive to showcase Qatar as a progressive economy with strong ties to its roots.
The 2013 Congress is expected to attract delegates from over 125 countries worldwide and it represents another milestone in the Qatar National vision 2030 fostered by HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and H.H. Sheikha Moza bint Nasser to secure Qatar s rising position in the region and in the world.(QNA)
