Khalidi: the coming days shall witness détente to crisis between IS, SLC

Baghdad (NINA) – Parliament reporter, Mohammed Al Khalidi, said “there are signs of détente to the crisis between the State of Law Coalition and Iraqiya Slate.


He said in a statement to NINA today "all political blocs are working to find solutions that will end the crisis between SLC and IS."

he pointed out that "we felt through our meeting with members of the political blocs that everyone wants to get out of this crisis which is not in anyone's interest."

"The solutions to get out of the crisis are many; the most important solutions are concessions from this or that party, and this in turn will end the dispute," Khalidi declared.

Regarding the statements made by Parliament Speaker, Osama Al Nujeifi, on the establishment of Sunni region, Khalidi said "the media escalation was too much, Nujeifi did not mean (separation), he only noted that there is injustice on Sunni areas and there are fears that this situation leads to separation."

He concluded "the success that Nujeifi achieved in the parliament admin led to exploiting his remarks during his visit to the US and launching media uproar against him."
