3COM SECURES MAJOR PROJECTS IN FIRST HALF OF THE YEAR
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 (Bernama) -- 3Com Corporation, a leading
provider of secure converged networking solutions, bagged several major cross-sector business contracts in the Asia Pacific region in the first half of the year.
These new businesses marked the company's entry into key industry verticals including the telecommunications, government, education and manufacturing sectors in the region, it said in a statement here Friday.
The company said its biggest success was from TOT Corp, Thailand's largest
state-owned telecommunications company, which contracted it to deploy networking
and voice services for the Bangkok Government Centre.
For 3Com, the Bangkok project represented one of the largest campus network
developments in Thailand with about 40,000 voice and data LAN ports.
Other projects included the TMNet Sdn Bhd Data Centre, Samsung Everland
Theme Park in South Korea, Beach Road Holiday Homes, Noosa of Australia as well
as the Victoria Department of Education and Early Childhood Development in
Australia.
