Thai EC receives foreign electoral observers
BANGKOK, July 1 (TNA) - The Election Commission of Thailand (EC) on Friday welcomed foreign observers who will inspect the country's new general election on July 3.
Election Commissioner Wisut Photitan, who supervises public participation, received the 21 foreign observers representing the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, Gerakan Party of Malaysia and Myanmar political parties.
The visiting Malaysian and Myanmar representatives will also exchange their views on electoral issues related to Thailand's national poll this coming Sunday.
Wisut insisted that the Thai election agency has adhered to honesty and neutrality and has implemented projects to promote democracy. (TNA)
