PREMIER RECEIVES DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER OF JAPAN


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold received Thursday Mr. K.Bessho, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan. The latter has arrived to participate in the 9th policy consultative meeting between Foreign Affairs Ministries of Mongolia and Japan.
S.Batbold has extended condolences to the Deputy Minister for deaths of people due to tsunami occurred March this year in Japan. He has said Mongolia is always thankful to Japan for its assistance and support given us since transmitting to the democratic and market relations. The Premier has underlined that Mongolia considers Japan as the strategic partners, and that our cooperation is possible to develop in all spheres. Then he has expressed a willingness to establish economic partnership agreement in order to boost the collaboration.
The sides have emphasized an importance to develop the mutually beneficial cooperation. Mongolia has affirmed its position to support Japan in seeking a permanent membership in the UN Security Council.
Mentioning that the 40th anniversary of the Mongolia-Japan diplomatic relations will be celebrated next year, the Premier has expressed a willingness to widely mark the anniversary and to organize high-level mutual visits.
In response, Mr. Bessho thanked the government of Mongolia for prompt material and moral support to Japan. He has said that the running policy consultative meeting has concluded the bilateral relations and discussed issues of implementing an agreement on developing the bilateral relations and cooperation under strategic partnership principles and within schedules of forthcoming high-level visits and meetings.
Mr. Bessho has underlined an importance of activating the mutually beneficial cooperation between private sectors of the two countries, and thanked Mongolia for supporting Japan in seeking the UN Security Council's permanent membership.
He has invited S.Batbold to Japan.
