PRESIDENT ATTENTING HIGH LEVEL MEETING COMMUNITY OF DEMOCRACIES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ At invitation of Dalia Grybauskaite, the President of the Republic of Lithuania, the State Head of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj is attending a regular Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies (CD) kicked off June 29 in Vilnius.
The meeting has brought together about a thousand representatives, including Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ministers, democratic leaders, decision-makers, and authorities of international organizations.
Mr Elbegdorj has given a speech themed "Independence of women in economics" at a high-level consultation called "Women appealed the world: educated, skillful and equal" speaking about past and present role of the Mongolian women.
Speeches have been given also by Iveta Radichova, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, and Solvita Aboltina, the Speaker of Latvia.
Presidency of the CD continues for two years, Mongolia will receive the CD chairmanship from Lithuania during a closing of the Ministerial Conference.
The authority organization of the CD--the Convening Group--comprises the USA, the Republic of Korea, Cape Verde, Italy, Lithuania, Mali, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, the South Africa, Poland, Portugal, the Philippines, Czech Republic, Chile, El Salvador and India. As of today, the CD unites over 150 countries.
