PRESIDENT ATTENDS MONGOLIA-UKRAINE BUSINESS FORUM

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In frames of the visit, the President Ts.Elbegdorj participated in the Ukraine-Mongolia business forum held June 29 in Kiev. It has been co-organized by the Foreign Investment and Foreign Trade Agency of Mongolia (FIFTA) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine with participation of some 200 Mongolian and Ukrainian businessmen.
Opening remarks have been made by Vasily Marmazov, Ukraine's Vice Minister of Economics and head of the Ukrainian side of Ukraine-Mongolia intergovernmental commission on trade, economics, sciences and technical cooperationm and by L.Bold, Mongolia's Minister of Defense and head of the intergovernmental commission for Mongolian side.
The Presidents of Mongolia and Ukraine have addressed the business forum.
Ts.Elbegdorj has spoken about policies of Mongolia targeted at making advantageous investments and business, about putting the biggest projects into economic circulation, and then welcomed the Ukrainian business's investments to Mongolia.
The Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich has expressed a willingness to cooperate with Mongolia and promised to make efforts to widen the bilateral collaboration in investments, trade and economic spheres.
In addition to it, reports have been given by Z.Battushig, the FIFTA's head; Kh.Davaadorj, an advisor to the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry; authorities of Ukraine's “KRAZ”, “Geotechnologiya” and Mongolia's “Oyu tolgoi” companies.
In frames of the forum, the sides have run individual meetings, several contracts have been established, for example, the Mongolian "GENT” company has signed a contract with Kryukov's train assembling factory on supplying equipment to Mongolia, a memorandum has been inked between the International Academy of Biotechnology and Mongolia's “Irves trade” company.
