Jumaili: Obaidi Iraqiya’s nominee for Defence Minister asked to withdraw his nomination
Leader of Iraqiya’s Parliamentary bloc, Salman al-Jumaili, said that Iraqiya’s nominee for the post of Defence Minister requested to have his nomination withdrawn.
Jumaili told NINA on Tuesday, June 28, “Ubaidi was nominated by Iraqiya Slate for the post of Defence Minister, but his nomination was withdrawn upon his request.”
It is noteworthy that the post of Defence Minister is been assigned for Iraqiya Slate, but Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, has rejected the ones nominated by Iraqiya to fulfill the post, including Khalid al-Ubaidi.
