OANA PRESIDENT MAKES REMARKS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Mr. Hilmi Bengi, the president of OANA, has welcomed the OANA Executive Board and Technical Committee Meetings, saying “It is a pleasure and honor for me to be with you in natural wonderland of Mongolia's capital Ulaanbaatar on the 50th anniversary of our organisation”.
He has thanked the Director General of MONTSAME Mr Tagalkhuu Baasansuren, also those who “worked very hard organising this event, and Mongolia's News Agency MONTSAME for the great and unique hospitality”. Then he has congrulated the MONTSAME for its 90th anniversary and wished it great success in the future.
“We are going to overview the decisions which were taken during the OANA General Assembly in Istanbul last year, to discuss the country reports of our members, to share the innovations we are planning on our news exchange web site,” he has said. Other questions are to “debate how to make OANA more dynamic and effective--executive issues will be discussed in our Board Meeting and technical issues will be discussed in Technical Committee meeting, and after that we will evaluate the decisions taken mutually in those meetings,” he has said.
He has added that a decision would be made on members future who did not pay their annual fee for more than 5 years, and matter on establishing a permanent OANA general secretariat would be touched upon as well.
“We overview our members news and picture contributions and consider the cooperation possibilities on news, photo and video exchange with you. Regarding the new OANA web site, we are going to listen to your ideas about enriching the content in it,” he has said.
Mr Bengi has welcomed all the gathered in Ulaanbaatar and wished the meeting would be productive and successful.
