PRESIDENT VISITS LAND FORCE MILITARY ACADEMY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Paying the state visit to Ukraine, the President Ts.Elbegdorj visited Monday the Land Forces Military Academy (LFMA) named after Hetman Peteter Sahaydachnyi.
The President has been welcomed by Lieutenant-General P.Tkachuk, the LFMA rector, and guards of honor.
The state head has visited the Academy's museum which, In 2009, opened a corner dedicated to Ts.Elbegdorj, a graduate of the Academy. Founded in 1899, the Military Academy is one of the biggest universities of Ukraine at the Defense Ministry, and it prepares military officers of land force majoring in art of battling, air force, artillery, military journalism, culture and arts. It also bears colleges preparing auto vehicle repairers, managers and military wind instruments players.
Ts.Elbegdorj graduated the Land Forces Military Academy in 1988 majoring in military-political journalism.

The same day, a ceremony took place to grant an Honorary Doctor degree to the President Ts.Elbegdorj at decision of the LFMA's Academic Council.
The President has said he hopes that the Mongolia-Ukraine friendly cooperation will widen in all sectors. "Thousands of Mongolians educated in Ukraine have been contributing to development of Mongolia," he has said.
