U.S. Termed Chief Culprit of New Arms Race
Pyongyang (KCNA) - The U.S. frequently claims that it is "interested" in global peace and stability, but its deeds do not agree with such assertion, says Rodong Sinmun Monday in a bylined commentary.
This is evidenced by the fact that the U.S. is pushing forward the moves to build the missile defense system and modernize nuclear weapons contrary to world peace and stability, the news analyst says, and goes on:
World peace and stability are incompatible with military reinforcement and modernization of war equipment.
What the U.S. seeks in modernizing war equipment is to hold absolute military upper-hand in the international arena and expand the sphere of its domination worldwide on its basis.
Such anti-peace moves will fan up worldwide arms race and military confrontation and screw up the international situation. -0-
