Al Saad calls on the Government to make serious efforts to prevent building Mubarak Port

Baghdad (NINA) - MP from Fadheela Party, Susan Al Saad, called on the Iraqi government to "make serious efforts to prevent building the Great Port of Mubarak implemented by the Kuwaiti authorities.”

She said in a press statement today that "the Iraqi Foreign Ministry should grant this file priority on other files and give it the attention it deserves. We do not want the day that Iraqis see Port Mubarak done because of the silence of the Iraqi side on that subject."

Al Saad wondered "if the Ministry of Transport went on with the Great Port of Faw and worked on accomplishing it, that would have been prohibitive barrier to the establishment of any other port."

Al Saad called on the people of Kuwait to "pressure its government to stop this project which violates Iraq’s sovereignty, and to erase the consequences of the former regime era from their minds.” /End/
