EC welcomes request for observing Thailand's election
BANGKOK, June 25 (TNA) - The Election Commission of Thailand (EC) says it has not invited foreign observers to monitor the country's upcoming general election, set on July 3, but every country is welcome to request and send their observers.
EC Chairman Apichart Sukhagganond revealed that 11 countries have so far requested the Thai election agency, through their embassies in Bangkok, to send their observers for Thailand's July 3 national poll, but it is not the EC’s policy to send out any invitation. (TNA)
