SPORTS JOURNALISTS AWARDED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On occasion of the Olympic Day, some foremost people were awarded Thursday with prizes of Mongolia's National Olympic Committee (MonNOC) for developing the Olympic ideology. This Day is celebrated by all countries in accordance with a decision made by the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) at its 42nd session January of 1948 in Saint Moritz, Switzerland.
The MonNOC supreme prize--the "Golden Star"--has been bestowed upon Ts.Batmonkh, a secretary of Mongolia's Federation of Volleyball, and Ch.Tomorchodor, a head of the Olympic Council of the UB city's Bayanzurkh district.
The "Golden Ochir" and the "Olympic Merit" medals have been given to 28 people, S.Tuvdennyam, a senior sports journalist and a founder of "Mongolian sport" newspaper; S.Olziisaikhan, a sports reporter of the "MONTSAME" daily; G.Chuluunbat, the Mongolian Radio; and to G.Ider-Uugan, a journalist of the "Education" TV channel.
