MUSLIMS MUST DEEPEN THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF THE QURAN, SAYS PM
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 (Bernama) - Abdullah Ahmad Badawi Wednesday night urged Muslims to deepen their knowledge of the Quran to help them in their life journey.
The Prime Minister said for those not proficient in the Arabic language,
they should learn from the authorised interpretation of the verses in it to
understand their deep meaning.
"Doing this will help us appreciate the blessings Allah has bestowed us and
the contributions made by the prophets, from Adam to Muhammad," he said when
opening the Melaka-level Quran recital assembly at the Al-Alami mosque here.
Earlier, Abdullah had joined Melaka Umno leaders in the breaking of the
fast at Melaka Chief Minister Mohd Ali Rustam's official residence in Ayer
Keroh in Melaka.
