Nuseif demands US admin stop pressuring Iraqi political forces to keep troops in Iraq

MP from the White Iraqiya Slate Aliya Nuseif demanded the US admin to “stop pressuring the Iraqi political forces to keep its troops in Iraq,” accusing the American side of deliberately leaving the Iraqi forces weak.

In a press statement, Nuseif said “the US forces did not provide military and strategic capabilities in the past stage to the Iraqi Army and security systems; it kept them weak instead. As Iraqis, we think that this was done on purpose, which is keeping the Iraqi Army weak to prolong their stay in Iraq.

She added that the Iraqi government should take charge of completing the security systems readiness rather than leaving it up to the Americans.

“The WIS still insists on its stance of the necessity of the American forces withdrawal from Iraq be end of this year,” she concluded
