Talabani received WFP, UNDP representatives

President Jalal Talabani received today World Food Program representative in Iraq Jean Pierce and Manager of UN development Program Simon Marinsco.

Presidential statement said that during the meeting which was present by Trade Minister Kheirullah Babaker, programs and activating the two bodies’ work in Iraq were discussed.

Talabani stressed the importance of the role played by these bodies in assisting Iraqis and developing aspects of life, especially the social and economic, the statement added.

For their part, the visiting delegation reviewed the plans and goals of their bodies in Iraq in addition to their intention to develop their work in the country
