Talabani stresses Iraq’s desire to strengthen cooperation with world countries

President Jalal Talabani stressed Iraq’s desire to strengthen cooperation with world countries to enhance supreme joint interests.

A presidential statement mentioned that Talabani received today credentials of newly appointed ambassadors of France, India, and Serbia, the ceremony was present by Iraqi Foreign Minister, Hoshiyar Zibari, and Head of the Presidency Office, Nasir Al Ani.

Talabani stressed that “Iraq is a rich and important country and have started an active democratic march. It will take the role it deserves, which matches its historical value and importance in the region and the world.”

He expressed readiness to facilitate the ambassadors’ missions and to support their efforts in a way that guarantees exchanged benefit with these friendly countries.

For their part, the ambassadors expressed their countries’ willingness to deepen friendly relations with Iraq in all domains, expressing their countries’ support to the democratic process in Iraq, the statement concluded.
