STUDENTS RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIP


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Fifteen Mongolian students will study for master degree at universities of the USA.
Certificates were handed them by Education Minister Yo.Otgonbayar June 23. The decision to give Fulbright scholarships was made by Embassy of USA to Mongolia.
In January last year, the Minister visited the USA and signed a joint statement on increasing scholarships for Mongolian students with a vice secretary in charge of Public relation at State department of the USA Ms. Judith Mchale. As a result, today 15 students are going to theUSA instead of four.
Students will be majoring in health, urban issues, education, state leadership, sciences, technology at universities in New-York, Ohio, Nebraska, Illinois, Texas and Georgia. Within the scholarship, 100 Mongolians have studied since 1994.
Fulbright scholarship for 2012-2013 has been announced for those who want to major in education, engineering, health, information technology, science technology.
The Minister Otgonbayar has awarded a head of the public affairs department of U.S. Embassy Marissa Maurer a title of "Foremost Cultural Worker" in recognition of her deeds in investing Amarbayasgalant monastery.
