Yemen, IFC discuss cooperation in improving law of construction

SANA'A, Sep 11 (Saba)- Minister of Public Works and Roads Amr al-Korshomi held talks on Wednesday with the delegation of the
International Finance Corporation (IFC), s a member of the World Bank Group, who is currently visiting Yemen over measures of improving law of construction.

They also discussed procedures of granting licenses of construction and technical
requirements to make
sure from safety of the buildings.

They also reviewed suitable measures to prepare national code for construction in
Yemen in coming month, which would be carried out by a joint team from the ministry
and the IFC.

Al-Korshomi affirmed concern of the ministry to prepare such project to make
granting licenses of building easy.The
ministry would double its efforts to do this key project, he said.

For his part, the head of the IFC delegation valued achievement of the ministry in
adopting policies to facilitate processes in the
ministry in accordance with the international standards.
