Al-Aghbari: YR150 mln allocated for releasing insolvent prisoners
SANA'A, Sep. 10 (Saba)- Minister of Justice Ghazi al-Aghbari has
stated to 26sep.net that an amount of money at YR150 million was
allocated to release insolvent prisoners who could not pay the
financial fines.
Al-Aghbari said on Wednesday that the committee had decided to
target prisoners with lesser financial fines so as to set free a big
number possible of prisoners.
He noted that the committee is studying a number of insolvent
prisoners' cases in preparation to conduct field visits and finalize
procedures to set them free.
The minister talked about judiciary procedures, saying that he is
currently preparing for a new law for judiciary documentation, and
is finalizing amendment to law of civil and commercial proceedings.
He affirmed the importance of partnership between the judicial
authority and Lawyers Bar in the protection of rights, law and
constitution.
