64 blood donors out of 471 diagnosed Hepatitis
The tally keeps increasing as 64 out of 471 PPP supporters, Revenue department and Police employees were diagnosed Hepatitis at blood donation camps established by Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH), Larkana on Wednesday.
The tally yesterday (Tuesday) was 59 out of 291. The PPP supporters are donating blood to commemorate their leader Benazir Bhutto’s birthday.
The camps have been established at Central Laboratory of CMCH & PPP Kennedy Market office where only 327 people donated blood and 144 left the premises without donating in the 3-day campaign.
Out of the 327 donors, 241 blood pints were received at the Central Lab camp and 86 at Kennedy Market camp. Out of these 64 Hepatitis cases, 35 were diagnosed Hepatitis B positive while 29 were diagnosed Hepatitis C.
