NESDB: Thai economy will grow 3.5-4.5% this year
BANGKOK, June 22 (TNA) - Thailand's National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) projected on Wednesday that the Thai economy would grow by 3.5-4.5 per cent this year.
The Thai government's think tank also predicted that the country's export growth could now reach 17 per cent in 2011, up from its previous forecast of some 12.5 per cent, thanks to the recovering world economy.
According to the NESDB, Thailand's inflation should be around 3-3.8 per cent this year if the government continued to curb domestic diesel prices at no higher than 30 baht per litre, even after the country's upcoming general election on July 3. (TNA)
