TURKEY ATTACHES GREAT IMPORTANCE TO AZERBAIJAN, ABDULLAH GUL
Baku,10 September,(AzerTAj)Prior to his Baku visit, Turkish President Abdullah Gul told journalists his country attaches great importance to expanding bilateral relations with Azerbaijan.
According to him, Turkey backs Azerbaijan`s fair stance and makes every efforts in this direction. The President said it is one of Turkey`s foreign policy priorities.
“As a president I made my first visit to Baku and it demonstrates how relations with
Azerbaijan are important for Turkey”, said A. Gul.
The Turkish President noted the purpose of his current visit to Baku is to discuss
recent regional processes and the Caucasus Platform initiated by Turkey.
Mr. Gul stressed he would also inform Mr. Ilham Aliyev of his visit to Armenia.
