“Yingluck” wishes for national reconciliation

BANGKOK, June 21 (TNA) - The Pheu Thai Party’s top list candidate, Yingluck Shinawatra, has expressed her wish for national reconciliation on her 44th birthday.

Yingluck, a younger sister of Thailand’s former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, made the remarks on Tuesday, after giving alms to Buddhist monks at her residence here, joined by family members and Pheu Thai MP candidates.

On the occasion, Yingluck reaffirmed her desire to administer the nation, saying that she would prioritize on restoring national unity if she was elected to power.

Meanwhile, Yingluck dismissed concerns over any military pressure on her, saying that everyone had their own duty to attend to, and hoped that the society would cooperate for the sake of national progress.

The Pheu Thai top list candidate also insisted she was ready for any investigation into her assets, related to her brother Thaksin’s share concealment case. (TNA)
