Adam eliminates himself from MasterChef

It was all Greek for the judges who didn't have to say a word in the MasterChef kitchen, with Queenslander Adam Bowen eliminating himself from the competition, after cooking his heart out for George Calombaris' mother.
Monday's pressure test involved four Greek Cypriot recipes from Mary Calombaris and despite individual difficulties, all the contestants managed to plate up all their dishes.
Michael and Ellie's hummus let them down by being too thick, and while Danielle's tzatziki was overloaded with garlic, Adam's had too much salt.
Although the judges were poised to hand Danielle her marching orders, Adam dropped a bombshell by saying he didn't feel he had the passion to be Australia's next MasterChef, becoming the eleventh person to leave the competition.
"However I cooked today, whether I was going home anyway, I'm not going to take someone's dream," he said.
"It's taken me this journey to realise I've got a wonderful life, wonderful friends and a wonderful business."
