INTERNATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATION FORUM TO RUN
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ An “ITO's Asia Pacific countries communication during disaster times" forum will run this July 8-11 in Mongolia. It will be co-organized by the UN's ITO and Mongolia's Information-communication technology and post authority.
The forum is expected to gather some 120 representatives of 40 countries, will get a help from Communications regulatory committee of Mongolia. Some organizations will work on the forum such as Department of Broadband, communications and the Digital economy of Australian government and United nations economic and social commission for Asia and the Pacific /UNESCAP/.
The forum is supposed to unite efforts of those dealing with disasters--governments, intergovernmental organizations, private sector and civil society, to let exchange experiences of the world and region's disaster communication, to discuss legal problems concerning regulation and policy in communications hi tech during disasters, and to prepare a working plan.
