DEMPARTY FACTION MEETS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The faction of the Democratic Party (DP) decided Monday to give an order to the General Election Committee (GEC) and the General Authority for State Registration (GASR) to arrange to acquire automate machines used in elections.
The faction considers as necessary to purchase the machines as soon as possible in order to adjust them this August.
In view of this, people must be provided with electronic ID cards that are inserted to the electronic machines, the faction has said. A tender has not been announced yet, thus the GASR has been ordered to promptly launch related work.
A deputy head of the faction L.Gantomor MP has said they firmly stands on its position prioritazing the proportional system.
The faction has also discussed and then backed a draft resolution on some measures to implement draft amendments to the laws on Human Development Fund.
