Yemen calls for further efforts to curb piracy
SANA'A, Sep.10 (Saba)- Yemen is currently making efforts to
eradicate piracy against ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden
which increases remarkable during the last period.
In the framework of these efforts, deputy Premier for Defense and
Security affairs Rashad al-Alimi, Interior Minister Mutahar
al-Masri and Defense Minister Mohammad Nasir Ahmad are expected to
hold talks with a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors in Sana'a
to coordinate efforts in fighting piracy.
Well-informed sources said to the military-run 26sep.net on
Wednesday that the talks would deal with support Yemen to establish
three regional centers to fight piracy Which will be set up in
Hodeidah, Hadramout and Aden provinces.
Yemen called on all countries in the region and the international
community to make further efforts to curb piracy in the Gulf of Aden.
