Maliki calls on US companies to participate in Iraq’s reconstruction

Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki renewed his call on the American companies to work in Iraq and participate in the construction and reconstruction of it.

During his reception of the American Secretary of Transportations Raymond Lahoud and his accompanying delegation, Maliki stressed that Iraq is determined to develop its roads, airports, and ports networks and to benefit from the American companies’ expertise in this field, according to a statement issued by Maliki’s office.

For his part, the American official expressed the US intention to cooperate and enhance ties with Iraq. /End/
